Zistos
Equipment Deployed Following
the New York City Crane Collapse |

On
Saturday, March 15, 2008 a giant crane that was anchored
to a new building under construction on Manhattan's East
Side in New York City came crashing down. The crane broke
into pieces and heavily damaged other buildings in its
path, causing injury and loss of life.
Zistos
portable video equipment was deployed by first responders
involved in the ensuing rescue and recovery operation.
The Zistos portable video systems were used successfully
in assisting rescue personnel with their victim location
efforts.

Collaborates with
Awareness Protective Consultants, LLC
Zistos
has teamed-up with Awareness Protective Consultants,
LLC (APCLLC) to use Zistos Tactical Systems in their
training programs. This collaboration will allow the
training end-user to test and evaluate the tactical
equipment and other Zistos equipment as needed, as part
of APCLLC’s real-time training.
Awareness Protective Consultants, LLC is a consulting
and training firm based in Piscataway, New Jersey; founded
in 2003 by Jose Medina. The staff at APCLLC is a cadre
of active and former law enforcement and military personnel
with a solid background in SWAT and tactical operations.
APCLLC has trained countless tactical practitioners
in federal, state, and local law enforcement, military
and private sector. They prepare their clients to safely
and effectively meet the challenges of a crisis situation.
Through its partnerships, they have developed an exclusive
training agreement with RAP AIR, a weapons training
system that allows them to bring their clients the most
realistic, educational experience with a strong sense
of their "tactical intelligence."

Police Swat Exercise Touts Zistos |

In
a recent special report, Pamela Jones of CBS2 News, in
Northwest Indiana highlighted the Zistos Tactical Surveillance
System. The Merrillville Emergency Response Team demonstrated
the Zistos system in a real SWAT training exercise. Jones
explained that officers often get hurt going to a door
to serve a warrant or entering a standoff situation where
their assailant(s) are hidden. The use of this technology
allows a tactical team to see into dangerous areas at
a safe distance — even in the dark. The Tactical
Surveillance System can be a life saving tool where situational
assessment is crucial. |
